The Belfer Institute for Applied Cancer Science at Dana-Farber Cancer
Institute is dedicated to the discovery of cancer genes essential for tumor
maintenance, and translating basic discoveries into new effective therapies
for cancer. This highly integrated goal-oriented organization represents a

We strive to be at the forefront of converting critical basic discoveries in the laboratory into novel targeted therapies utilizing newest technologies for the cancer characterization.
We are seeking a well-organized, highly motivated professional to support
the Belfer Institute genomics. The successful candidate will use cutting-
edge technologies and machinery for cancer cell profiling. Duties of the
position include, but not limited by execution of NGS, microarray and
nanostring-based experiments in a timely fashion, analyzing data quality,
and working in a team environment to identify key genetic/epigenetic
features in cancer samples. This position will be an integral part of the
Belfer Genomics team and report to the Associate Director in Oncogenomics.
Job Qualifications
MS in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or related field with 2+
years professional experience in an academic and/or pharmaceutical/biotech
environment.
The successful candidate should be demonstrating solid practical knowledge
in molecular biology, specifically qPCR and DNA cloning, as well as computer
literacy. Prior experience in DNA sequencing, microarrays, and high-
throughput technologies is preferred.
The successful candidate must be reliable, responsible with good attention
to details and ability to work independently on multiple tasks and develop
solutions to basic technical problems. A minimum two-year commitment is
required. |
