Job Responsibilities
We are looking for a Vignette/SharePoint Developer to provide maintenance
and operational support to the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety
Administration (PHMSA) for their public website, located at www.phmsa.dot.
gov. This person will also support SharePoint implementation at company's
Headquarters in Vienna, VA.
Responsibilities:
• Provide support for the PHMSA public website, utilizing Vignette
Content Management System and Portal, based on J2EE technology.
• Develop solutions for the PHMSA public website to ensure good
usability practices are implemented and appearance is standardized.
• Assist in content entry for the PHSMA website using Vignette Content
Management System.
• Provide backup infrastructure support, on-call for critical issues
with the PHMSA website, particularly Vignette related
• Work with customers to gather technical requirements and develop
plans for technical implementation of solutions to support their website
needs
• Assist in training and mentoring of customers and coworkers in
Vignette Content Management technologies, as needed.
• Create project documentation where appropriate.
• Support implementation of SharePoint solutions at company's
Headquarters, or in company's contracts.
• Provide operational support for SharePoint implementation at company
Headquarters.
Skills Required
• Experience administering Vignette VCM 7.5, Vignette Portal 7.4 and
DPM
• 5 years Java programming experience
• CMS based Java web application development experience, JSR 168
portlet development preferred
• Experience with Eclipse IDE and CVS
• Fluent knowledge of HTML, CSS, XML
• Experience with Oracle 10g database
• Experience with JavaScript, front end web design and development
• Knowledge of 508 accessibility
