on 485 form and at 485 interview, if you answer NO, nobody cares. answer YES
, not 100% you'll not get it but very very hard to prove your original
intention of joining party.

the real issue is whether you should apply GC for them, or do they what? it
may look like very beneficial now (longer stays, no visa, can work,
dependents on tax...), but also has some other consequences: residency
requirement, medical/fanancial costs (something you'll do but need to
consider), boredom of life in u.s. for them...

65岁以后,不是说FEDERAL GOVERNMENT会COVER么? 这个我还没有仔细研究过.
不过,我父母来了,也是低收入, 应该可以申请一些福利把.
主要是我父母剧签,很讨厌. 想来总是不能来. 而且我觉的我父母也想拿张绿卡,
虚荣心而已.在国内我们家那块有面子,并不是要在美国呆一辈子. 反正他们最后
也会放弃的.

签证 is only a short term pain, and once they got it for the first time, in
big cities like beijing/shanghai, they can have 中信银行 renew it for 2nd,
3rd time (then just a matter of $). consdiering now B1 is 1 year M entries,
it's pretty convinient for them and you CA guys (cheaper/shorter flights).
for 绿卡, they'll have to go to guangzhou consulate after 1 year or so
waiting time.
after that, they'll have to meet residency requirement here, even sometimes
