刚换了工作2个半月,有大小老板两个。平时与小老板打交道。小老板早来3个月,很
年轻,头一次作老板。
我自我感觉工作的不错。刚来小老板就交待了几个存留了很久没有得到解决的项目。都
给很快很好的完成了。有一个还得到一个大大头打电话给我们, 亲自感谢。 说帮了他
忙,在一个头头的会议上,他拿着我们的报告说话很有底气。也没有争工,注意把成绩
都归到小老板头上。平时很注意与同事友好相处。以为评估应该还好。
因为小老板第一次给人作评估。因此是在大老板办公室作的。小老板读了一边对我的评
价。都是好评价。但是分数给的都底。有两个甚至2分(最高5分),在期待以下。评
语是工作的很好,只是因为是新人,还有很多东西需要学习。因为是新人,让小老板介
绍了更多项目背景在作项目的时候。综合评估是3分 (达到期望)。
然后问我的意见,我正在考虑怎么说。很失望,但又不想得罪小老板。这是大老板突然
说,你们知道吗,他还不用作评估。这个是年度评估,到评估截至日期时,他才来一个
月,我不会把这个评估报到上面去,我们会在一年以后在给他作评估。你们就把这个作
为你们交流的一个机会把。然后对我说,听小老板对他的反馈,我作了很好的

"给我演示一下整个系统如何工作的而不是我在网上查资料看别的学校的培训资料,因
为个个学校会有不同", are you working for a school?
"有两个甚至2分(最高5分),在期待以下", which two?
"综合评估是3分 (达到期望)", this actually equals to "not meeting
expectation".
大老板seems not satisfied with the review (might think 小老板 is being a
little too tough on you), and wants to save faces for both of you.
you work for 小老板 though, so try to be very careful. don't expect 大老板
will be "fair" and knows everything. most of time, he's be on the same side
of 小老板.

Yes, I am working for a school.
one is Knowledge of job. I was told I am a quick learner, but there is still
a lot to learn to understand the whole process.
another is dependability. I was told I needed a little bit more supervision
with the project but it is understandable for I am still learning the whole
process.
Why 'not meeting expectation'? in the evaluation, 3 is meet the expectation.

How to dig deeper? Should I request a meeting with them again to express my
confusion with their expectation?

打分太高会提高老板对你的期望,对接下来几个月没啥太大好处,现在用新人这个接口
压低点分数给将来进步的空间,也不错

1) 2 for those two categories is kind of too low, even as a new guy;
2) 3 here in overall is more or less like a score of 60 in college exams, or
"let you pass this time but need to see much more improvements";
3) schools are not like companies, where ppl come and go so frequently. so
your boss will stay for quite a while as your boss, his impressions on you
will affect a lot of things.
now since big boss said the review is not going to be taken, you still need
to show your "respect" to it, and

How many items do you have?
In my group, only 25% people get exceed expectation, which means they will
be promoted.
My first year review (actually only 3 months, I think I self evaluate two
items as emerging, which I guess is less than 2. And the manager gave me
emerging also. My overall is meet expectation. It seems they are satisfied
with me.
This year I got at least one emerging item, but got exceed expectation
overall.
So I guess 2 2s doesn't mean you are bad, of cause depend on items. Fo

He may just want to push you to work harder, or just want to learn more
about the evaluation process from your case.

Thank you all for the suggestion. There are total 10 items in the evaluation
. Besides those 2s, others are all 3s.
I donot know do I have to have an evaluation before my probation or not,
just I am afraid to request it anymore. I have to take this evaluation
seriously even it will not be taken this time.
I am not sure my supervisor has a bad impression on me or not, we
communicated every well before except for today. I am not in mood to talk. I
really do not know the reason.
Maybe the best way

If I were you, I will request a meeting with little boss only.
Tell him know what you think and what you worry and how he can help you.
Also, in my company, a face to face talk is required before you sign the
evaluation.

Yes, we had a conversation together, big boss, little boss and me regarding
my evaluation. And big boss said the evaluation will not be taken and I do
not have to sign, I am thinking since they would like to discuss it as a
group, it should be OK to request with both of them?
Also maybe it is a good chance to get feedback from both of them otherwise I
donot have chance to talk to big boss?

better not, since you work with small boss mostly and big boss already
expressed his comments, you should "respect" small boss more by talking to
him directly. having big boss around is kind of like borrowing "power" to
make small boss uncomfortable.
don't make this a "bigger" deal than it needs to be. by now, small boss
should not be "stupid" for not knowing you're not satisfied with the review.
.. you push this too hard, only negative results will come. since both of
you are new, you two need
