Very much depends on your expectation. I have a Ph.D. in engineering from a
decent university. Currently working in a good US engineering consulting firm
for less than a year. Job is secure. Pay is industry standard. Future is so so

In August, I talked to a decent Chinese university. My major there can make
top 10 in China. The dean of the school has a Ph.D. from Britain and a US GC.
