If you need other people's ratings to gain confidence or finding
shortcomings, there's something wrong in your self-confidence and

able to know yourself in everyday ordinary small things you did, happened to

to argue w/ them about your rating. You can only loose your status in their
mind if you come back with these issues. As far as I know, americans usually
just pack up and leave if they are unhappy with their managers. There's no
reason to act humble at work. My observation is that you loose more than you
gain if you do things like arguing about ratings, asking to initiate green

from your employer? Do you have a family to feed?
This has nothing to do with self-confidence. You get your ratings you deserve
and have good communication with your manager. Rating has direct impact on
your career.
Your comments may work for some people, but for most people (especially for
new graduates), what a pile of nonsense.

themselves both psychologically and materially for high job mobility. I still
don't understand why people buy houses soon after getting a job? And why
raising a family while green card is still a distant future (if you really
intend to stay)? There is a chinese proverb 作茧自缚,as a foreigner,
especially a pretty discriminated group of foreigner, you don't want to live a

pack up and leave, find a new job, good for you, bad for your old company. If
you have nothing to loose when it comes to changing jobs, then the company has
everything to loose if they treat you like a slave. I am sorry if I offended

a happy childhood, with family relatives to visit, with friends to play with,
