laid off in the future after the deal. At this time being when the
deal is closed, they all can get some cash compensation. Even being
laid off layoff, first with severence package, they can just enjoy
life a while until the economy recovers. Second they may still can
find another job, who knows. Third, in this economy, even no deal
merged with HP, no one can guarrantee Compaq won't do a layoff just
due to the bad performance of | l****e

they even got a raise in profit in this cold it winter, it looks
quite fishy to me as CPQ wanna show they are strong enough to
be acquired by HP
whatever it will happen after acquisition, HP is quite much ruined. |
