One of my friends in Bejing will come to U. of Michigan this
Fall and she wants to ask for housing info. Could anyone
tell me if it is easy to find an apartment near the campus
of U. of Michigan and does she need to start looking for
aparment right now(she will come to USA on August).

Generally it's easy. U can find housing in Island Drive Apt even
u arrived in Aug last year.
