network. Both are XP professional SP2. Computer A can access the shared
folders, as well as "Printer & Faxes" and so on in computer B. B can see A in
"Entire network>> Microsoft Windows network", but cannot open it by double
clicking it.
A and B are in the same workgroup. And both are setup using "simple file
sharing" with "share this folder on the network".
It seems that both the A and B are connected to the local networ | B*******e 发帖数: 3882 | 2 turn off that stupid "simple file sharing" first.

| A*****e 发帖数: 64 | 3 I think the problem is not file sharing, but some network setup in B. There is
another thing. In A I can ping B's IP address successfully, but I cannot ping
A's IP in B. Even though A is definately connected to the network, there must
be some configuration for B to make it access A. But I do not know what the
configuration is.
Thanks.
