1. Vmware, Virtual PC
2. U have to have make a FAT or FAT32 partition for 98
Then backup XP parition with Nortonghost, install 98 on new partition
Restore XP partition image. Use XP setup disc to boot and repair MBR
Add entry in boot.ini for 98
(U might also back up certain files for XP partition, such as boot.ini,
ntldr, ntdetect.com and install 98 without making image backup. i only
use this way setting up 2k after XP, never tried with 98)

发帖数: 439 | 2 哇，兄弟的方法 2 也忒麻烦了一点吧。还要 ghost 整个 XP ，好花时间。
用 Partition Magic 在硬盘上分出来一个 primary partion FAT32, 设成 active。
然后把 Windows XP 所在的 partition 设成 hidden 。然后按 Partition Magic
就重新启动进行操作了。完成后就用 Windows 98 的启动盘启动在新划分的 partition
安装 Windows 98 。
安装好之后用 Partion Magic 附带的 BootMagic 生成的启动软盘来启动系统，
重新把 Windows XP 所在的 partition 设成 active 。回到 Windows XP 修改
%SystemDrive%\boot.ini 加上 windows 98 一项。那以后这台机子就是双重启动
的啦。
我的机子就是三重启动的，windows xp, windows 2000, linux. 不过启动到 linux
的做法与这个有一点不同就是了。
当然用 Virtual PC 还是最简单的办法。

yes, u remind me. This is because when 98 install after XP, it changes
bootsector of XP partition (assume XP is at C:).
Actually backup the boot sector and restore it would be fine. It is
easy to "dd" it by linux. Ontrack Disk Managment can do this. I prefer
to use "dd", caz i have a selfmade bootable cd with loadlin to load my
linux from dos by cdrom.
I have been using PQ for long time. Got lots of problem after 7.0, esp
for my system (my 2 hd on IDE Raid HPT370, i do not use raid, just us

把 XP 所在的盘设成 hidden, windows 98 就没有办法看到 XP 所在的盘，也就
没有办法改 XP 盘的 boot secctor 了。
兄弟运气真差，竟然连 pq 都用不了，够可怜了。
