you wether from disk to image or partion to image. If you
only have a single C partition than you dont have choice but
ghost the whole dive. But if you have more than two partition,
you can put you ghost software on D, then only ghost C. It
really depends on what option you choose.

ghost supports all previous OS.
my C drive is fat32, because direct CD (for hp burner) doesnt
support win2k yet and I have to recover 98 sometime.
I have a 20G drive, have 6G for backing up stuffs. I put ghost
in that patition. It is big enough to hold several image files
I dont even need to burn any CD. Burn a CD is not wise, whenever

呵呵, 我的经验是, 把D:做成fat32的, 2G, C:盘用NTFS, 2.5G, 其它也用NTFS
应用软件装在一个虚拟盘上. 比如H:\ 这个盘可以是网络盘, 也可以是你用subst
虚拟出来的本地盘. (这样做的好处是以后你可以随意移动整个应用软件的目录.
如果是装Win2000, 一般用ghost备份的C:盘会在650M左右, 如果你软件都不装在
C:盘, 一般是可以压在一张光盘之内的. C:盘用ghost备份. 而H:盘, 就用不着
用ghost了, 可以用rar把目录分组压起来. 比如Visual Stusio压一个, Matlab
压一个, Office压一个, 剩下的整体压一个. 这样可以避免你做小软件升级时做不必要
的重复备份.
另外, 现在CDRW很便宜的, 刻盘千万别用CD-r. 用CD-rw刻一个可以启动的,
带上ghost和img文件. 就什么都解决了.
一般的机器4张盘可以把所有的东西全备份下来了. 你甚至可以去用这些盘给别人
装机器. 如果你修改注册表, 把email之类的信息都转出C:盘. 那你的C:盘可以在
任何觉得不大爽的时候恢复一遍.
