it always shows up and shuts down the procedure I am doing.
and, what's this?
"a problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close
the program and notify you if a solution is available"...
really get annoyed by Windows Vista. |

I have not met this problem yet.
You can disable defender and see if it helps.

well, it seems windows defender is not working now though I didn't do
anything...still, there are many problems such as:
(1) "Microsoft windows media configuration utility has stopped working" when
I wanted to play some music using windows media.
(2) When I wanted to download some Excel files from my emails, cannot.
really ft to death, my time is just wasted for hours on these meaningless
issues....

similar to Excel (or anything else) file downloading from email attachments.
more problems such as:
when I want to change language in Control Panel,
it shows " windows host process (Rundll32) has stopped working"...
I cannot use Acrobat Reader to open pdf files.

after recovering it, you'd better install some anti-virus software and
a monitor tool. I recommend: http://www.winpatrol.com/, basic version free.

hooked up....windows vista is together with the computer...
