starts in the 1st grade. A 4-years-old kid is considered too young for any
formal classroom-based training.
If I had enough money and time, I would have tried homeschooling my kid.
Unfortunately, that was not the case.
As a compromise, we simply hired tutors and asked the tutors to train my
child in certain subjects in after school hours. The school experience is
invaluable as well for a kid to become part of and adjust to the world
around him or her. In that sense, going to a school is not a total waste. |

这个班能教的已经教完了。大概是这样吧，不过这个小女孩是挺聪明的，1岁半就自己
弄明白9块拼图了，她妈还担心是自闭症呢。

to take the test any more.

学校，然后放学后请private tutor么？
另外她家的小孩比较害羞，不太和同龄小朋友玩，有什么好办法可以改进么

发帖数: 9094 | 28 1) For each weekday, arrange a tutor for one subject or a piano/violin/
drawing/singing lesson. Each tutoring/lesson lasts about 1 hour.
2) Before attending the gifted program, full day at public school plus
afterschool tutoring/lessons.
3) Shyness is more a personality issue than a shortcoming. Maybe the kid
wants to play with older kids since they may have more things in common (in
terms of knowldge and subjects). Another way to change is appearance of
shyness is to learn singing/acting/debating/public speech, etc. As long as
he or she can present him/herself in public, the shyness is not a problem.

这一点，我在老二身上贯彻得非常好，不看不听不想，让他自己跟自己较劲就可以了。
随即现在老大也放羊了，天天回家就是看电视，玩电脑。我都觉得有点儿过了。。。

望我儿子快点pick up his english, so he can communicate with other kids/
teachers better.
