我们部门招了个美国人technician Terry. 他 50, 60多岁. 自重他来后, 实验室的
radio 就整天 被他霸占, 天天放talk show. 常听到主持人声嘶力竭的叫, 后来才知道
原来是大名顶顶的Rush Limbaugh. 我们technician 是铁竿共和党人. 他自豪的告诉我
, 子从1970s 他从没投过任何 民主党的票从地方议员到总统. 他人为自己
conservative, 民主党 是 liberal. 他 很讨厌民主党, 认为民主党 让美国衰退. 他
很讨厌民主党的总统, 包括 Clinton.
Based on the talk with him, I feel that the arrogant GOP really dislike
immigrant and women. For example, they believe that women should stay at
home and immigrants take American jobs.
There are some Chinese here who believe that they are elite in American
society. However, they never accept you.
1.President Bush
GOP 人为Bush 是伟大的president。他是被liberal 妖化了. GOP 的一些想法：
1-1克林顿没有留给Bush很多钱,是假的！联储掩盖经济上的风险，结果到布什任内破灭
。布什承担了克林顿留下的烂摊子。克林顿才是凶手。
1-2 Iraq War：
找不出Biological weapons 是因为民主党为难布什,在投票问题上托了很久. Saddam
Hussein 转移了武器, 后来当然找不到了. 总之，Iraq War 是 righteous.
2.Women should stay at home.
Long time ago only husbands worked but they could support their families.
However, since women took away men’s jobs, salaries dropped. Now it becomes
harder and harder for single income families. Most of the times both
husbands and wives must work.
GOP blames women.
3. Immigrants
Before 1970s and 1980s, most American had stable jobs and they could easily
retire with pension. They were never laid off during 50s, and they worked
for one company for 20 or 30 years.
Now everything changed due to immigrants. They rob American jobs, which
causes that old employees are laid off and American college graduates could
not find jobs.
4.Riches
Cutting tax on riches could create jobs and GOP believes that it has been
proved by the history.
My opinion is that cutting tax on riches might not increase American jobs
due to economic globalization. Riches might outsource jobs to other
countries and create jobs there. For my question, GOP does not have
reasonable answer. | t****u
