should 飞DCA, 住downtown, 然后每天开车去Rockville.
There is nothing in Rockville to see (unless plan to eat some Chinese food).
Rockville chinese food is not that great if you come from big city like NYC.
Don't know the age of 老人和孩子, but 玩 DC require a lot of walking, so be
prepared for that, good part it is not as hot as before.
Welcome to DC and enjoy your stay.

direct flight since we have two children. My parents are old and can't walk
too much. I don't plan to see a lot of places. Maybe just show them White
house and Capitol. Thanks!

发帖数: 1028 | 8 4 days and 3 nights are way too much time just to see 2 places.
Unless you made arrangment way ahead of time, you can only view white house
through fence from very far distance. 1 day is more than plenty to tour both
places.
Parking is easy on weekends before 10am around the mall, so you might want
to visit other attractions on weekdays.
You can head to baltimore aquarium after arriving at BWI.
http://www.nasm.si.edu/udvarhazy/ is another good place to visit on weekdays. (not in DC, but close to IAD)

发帖数: 110 | 9 I would suggest you stay in downtown DC. There are so much to see and to do
just in downtown DC.If you don't plan to visit DC surrounding areas, you don't
need a rental car, cause it's very hard to find parking in DC. Many hotels
charge you overnight parking. Maybe a hotel shuttle is better
transportation from BWI to DC. Once in downtown, a lot places are within
walking distance or by metro system.
Whitehouse and Capital can be seen from distance, unless you make prior tour
arrangement. Make sure you check out all the museums in DC. Kids love them,
and they are all free. You can get to the top of the Washington Monument,
but make sure you get ticket early.
Anyway, I'm sure you can get a lot other travel info online. Prepare the
trip and have fun. | d*********e

那边就是走了，还是挺累的，不过你时间长，还好一些，必要的话可以坐游览车省点体

My boys (5 and 7) favorite place of DC:
Spark lab in museum of American history, first floor, also imagination area
Insect zoo in museum of natural history, 2nd floor, also Ocean section,
dinosaur,
Lunch at gallery of art, underground floor, in front of water,
National zoo, out door large PIZZA play area, Amazon, sea animal part, in-
door kids play area in the visit center. | l*****l
发帖数: 4691 | 14 我倒觉得lz那样挺好，downtown街趴难找，但是garage随处都有，一天不过十几块。有
老有小坐地铁折腾死了，人口多地铁价格优势也不大。还不如开到景点卸人然后司机就
近停车到garage再来会合，这样老人小孩都不用多走路。

to the zoo on Friday and drive to downtown on Saturday and sunday.
