Glue and screw with a rented dry wall panel lifter. They were 60% finished
by the time I bring down the lunch.

But we rented from our local Home Depot, don't remember the exact price, but
I think it was around $20 a day or $70 a week.
I am guessing rich area HD might charge a little more (inline with other
tool rental company)

Not really, we only finished 3,000 sq ft (total basement is about 4,500 sq
ft, but AC, water heater etc. take some space). We finished a media room for
12 people, a table tennis play area, a full bath room, an office connected
to a storage area and a wetbar (with almost a a full kitchen), we also build
a strong room (reinforced concrete on all sides).
Shopping and gathering material took over 6 month, but all work done in less
than 30 days, LD and a few of his buddy did it all (except some electrical
and plumbing work)

I just called to my local HD, with our account, $15 for 4 hours, $20 a day,
$65 a week, $120 a month (We applied to their contractor account)
So I am guessing unless you need it more than a week, it is better to rent.
(assume you paid $150 for a new one and can use it as long as you wanted and
able to sell 1/2 price when done)

noise) and more energy efficient, sheet metal sometimes will also cause
condensation water to form and drip on to your ceiling during very humid
days (like right now) when you first turn on AC.
焊接水管: Why 焊, there are so many other choices, if you want to stick with
copper pipe you can rent a pressing tool, your joint will last as long as the
pipe itself, plus only takes 5 second to do each. Even professional make
mistake in sweating the pipes, I have seen a few house got flooded because
of a bad joint, so why take the chance.

Water heater: why not go with a tankless version, last forever and save you
energy from the long run, if you put in a large 2 person tub, 80 gallon of
hot water is not enough to fill it even at the hotest setting.

砸水泥地接下水: Looks like you are working with less than 6 inches of
concrete. The way you did it is very messy and dusty. Why not drill a few
holes on the corner with a hammer drill and use a saw to cut the straight
lines (water cooled), much less dust and straight clean edge and easy to
fill back up with concrete when done.

You are wrong here (压的有焊的就那么密封), they are same 密封, but 压的 will
last longer (especially under stress, like house settle, minor earthquake,
ground shift over time). It is possible to make a small mistake in one of
the many 焊接 you done and almost impossible to detect until too late (could
be years down the road). It is almost impossible to make a mistake on
pressed joint.

Insulated duct work with exact same outside dimension 势必减少内部的流通截面
积。对于设计好的 HVAC 系统，改变主管道的截面积，会影响整个系统的效率。我没这
方面的专业知识，也没这方面的专业仪器及工具，还是不要动的好。
压的毕竟是两个物体之间的 bonding，靠的是两物体内部的应力压在一起，物体内部的
应力会随时间而改变，焊的是分子间或原子间的 Bonding，你说哪个 bonding 强？焊
会有焊坏的，压也会有压坏的，这跟操作人有关。
我才知道还有电的 Tankless Water Heater，当初我要换 Heater 的时候咋没找到呢？
看来我的 Home Work 做的不够。不过我看了之后，还是不会选 Electric Tankless
Water Heater。就算最大的也就 5 GPM，在冬天时同时 应付 2 个Shower 都有困难，
可这个 Water Heater 需要 120 Amp 的电。整个 Household 也就 200 A 的电。设想
在冬天，暖气开着，两儿子 Take shower，他们的妈打开电炉要给他们做饭，结果，整
个房子跳闸了。
Clean Cut 对水泥的 bonding 没有帮助。在旧水泥上接新水泥时，旧水泥面上还要打
毛呢。

。板子可能还需要裁，挖孔，板子上要涂胶，上螺钉（4x8 的板上 50 颗左右，4x12
的板上 75颗左右）。是螺钉 （Screw），不是钉子（nail)。
平均 5.35 分钟上一块 4x8 的板，8.11 分钟上一块 4x12 的板。佩服佩服，他们何止

Most ceiling are done with 4x16 (1/2 inch thick) sheetrock.
Some edge area are done with 4x8 or 4x10 pieces (they used to a computer
software do design the layout first and ordered all pieces from HD)
Here is the screw gun they used (we still have it)

I would say they did about 10 min/sheet at the beginning, but only 5 or 6
min/sheet as time go on.
Since this is ceiling, only very few pieces need hole cut (air vents), most
are just solid pieces.
I have the honor to put in the last screw (actually they let me put in quite
a few screw on the last piece of sheet rock), seems only take 1 or 2 second
with the screw gun to put in each screw, not as fast as the nail gun, but
still not slow at all. (I calculated 3300RPM is aexactly 55 revolution per
second, not sure how many revolution does it take to put in 1 screw, but
feels very quick to me)

guessing at least 1500RPM for sure.
I can not find a video with the exact drywall screw gun we used, but here is
a cordless version with less RPM, as you can see from the video, 2 to 3
second per screw is completely doable.

a box we have left over we used senco item # 06A162PB)
It is not as hard as you think to drive each screw, the screw kind of pull
itself all the way in, you just need to guide the gun so to speak.
The buddy is 非常强劲 indeed, he was a linebacker in college, I am guessing
6 ft 5, maybe a little over 300lb.
Here is the spec I can find online, did not mention the actual output RPM,
but is faster than the gun on the video for sure.

he remembered exact how many pieces of sheet rock they did that day on the
ceiling.
He looked up the design on computer, we have used 51 pieces of sheet rock
total for the ceiling job, 43 pieces of the 4x16, 3 pieces of the 4x14, 2
pieces of the 4x12, 2 pieces of the 4x10 and 1 piece of the 4x8.
They did 27 pieces in the morning (all does not require whole cut in them)
according to his memory. (about 8 and half min per board on average)
I still can not find a video of the screw driver they have used, but this
one is very similar in terms of design and driving speed. (I would say in
real life you can put a screw in every 2 seconds for sure or 30 screws per
min)

onto wood with 2" coarse screws, the slowest bit speed(right before seating)
is in the range from 3000-4000 rpm depends which tool. Based on both
calculation and high speed video. It takes only ~0.3 sec to drive a screw(screw tip touch to seated).
Some higher speed drywall gun rated at 6000, they are faster.
Low speed gun (1000 - 2500 rpm) have double gear sets for bigger torque
application, such as deck.
I work for power tool company. When we work on a newer scrugun, we visited
some pro at job-site. Man, they are fast, <2 sec per screw. It only take
days for a green hand to reach 2-3 screw per day for almost all good finish.
And they are doing it 8 hrs or more a day. They are pro though.
After the project, I can use the gun ok. But it's very hard to drive
even a single 2" screw into wood with a screwgun at the beginning. |

this info.
They rented tools from tape pro company for the mud and tape job.
They did the rough coat (including filling all the screw holes) in one day.
The second coat and finish coat only take half day each time.
Totoal square feet of the sheet rock area is just a little over 8,000 sq ft
(both ceiling and wall together)

Also since we have to destroy a lot concrete in the basement area to put in
new pipes, we rented a F16, you can drive it through a 32 inch doorway and
it did not damage the tiled area that we have run it over. It also have over
120 different tools. I am sure the rent price is more than what you paid
for, but it is very fast.
