标 题: 刚收到McLean， VA的一工作Offer，多问

现在Boston城外上班，刚拿了一个McLean, VA的Offer。请问：一般来讲，DC附近收入
水平要比Boston周边高多少？在McLean上班华人，一般在哪儿买房？LD是学Biostat的
，刚在Boston找到一份工作，前两天才开始上班，请问DC附近工作机会多不多？
我是我学工程的，感觉DC附近工作机会比Boston的多一些，所以基本准备从了。不过给
的Offer只比现在工资略涨，不晓得能不能再多要一点儿。
估计以后会常来这个版，还请各位多多赐教 :-)。多谢！ | G****6
发帖数: 4291 | 2 一点可以肯定：DC的工作机会更多。 生活和消费方面也要比博士臀好些，四季分明的
气候更是吸引人的因素之一。

We have been in the Boston area for about 2 years, and started to love this place. It's bad we probably have to move again, as I did not see many job opportunities here for me; before I accept the offer, I just want to make sure the salary they are offering is reasonable (and matching my qualifications), and my LD may land a job in the DC area also (there are tons of job biostats openings for her in the Boston area, which is sort of why we moved to Boston t | j***a

发帖数: 415 | 5 pat pat, 新环境总是有好有坏的。总的来说DC这地儿不错，特别是mclean附近，你LD
会喜欢的。Tyson's I&II的两个大mall啊，那么多的各国美食啊，去哪儿都方便的
locations啊，气候环境学区都很好.....
先过来可以租房住，我以前住过http://www.dolleymadisonapartments.com/ 还不错。
租一段时间以后再慢慢考虑买房，总的来说mclean附近的房很贵而且年代老，一般来说
可以考虑fairfax, vienna, 甚至更远一点的reston, herdon, loudoun county....
学生统的，可以找NIH啊，在bethesda, 离mclean也很近的说。
