因为我车的(2000 Toyata Camery)engine light 一直亮.不知道baltimore 的Vehicle
safety inspection 会不会因为这个阻止车在马州的注册(registration).
我已经到Toyata dealer 修了四次了,花了五六百块钱,惹了一肚子气, 这个毛病还是解
决不了.
希望有Maryland车检经验的大侠指点一二. 谢过先. | h*******d

2. as i know, any warning signal with the dashboard will not be qualified to
pass MD inspection. ig, MVA can not register a mechanic failure car,
u also need exhaust emmission inspection
better finish fix it when U come here, Baltimore. | j******b

I had asked autozone to do the free checking. They reported the same problem
as from the Toyota dealer.
The Toyota dealer in New Orleans tried fixing this problem three times and
every time the mechanics need to replace one of multiple components that
might cause this problem. (A problem in the exhaust emmission system).
Somebody said that this problem is commonly seen in toyota camery. Some
others told me their own experience with toyota dealer about this similar | m*******g
发帖数: 7 | 4 Yes. You can sell it with LA registration. Actually it is easier to sell
that way. Trust me, it is not worth it to fix it and get the MD registration
. Those places will make you pay a lot to fix things. In the end, you are
better off with getting a new car. I sold my car to carmax. Sell it to
dealer while you are buying a new car? Usually not a good deal that way...

I also heard about one story of selling used car in Baltimore, between two
chinese. One would like to sell, the other would like to buy, actually, the
price had been settled down. But the transaction was delayed by the
inspection office. The seller later decide not to sell it because the
inspection office require her to spent a lot of money to fix her car to be
qualified for selling.

1.不需要马上检查
2.让CEL熄灭一段时间
3.留着修车的收据, >=$600就可以做waiver了

有几个问题再打扰一下：
1：我将电池一极断开，再连上，engine light 就 off 一阵. 如果有其他简单方法，
请指教。
2: 不明白“CEL” 是什么意思，电池 （cell）吗？
3: Thank you for reminding me to keep the receipts for repairing. Most of my
receipts were from the Toyota dealer in New Orleans, LA. I guess they
should be equally good, right?
I am sorry I don’t quite understand the "waiver" thing you mentioned here,
would you please gave more details about this? What "things" I could waiver
when I collecting more than 600$ of repairing-receipts. Than

The only thing I worried is that with my current registration (New orleans,
LA), I was requested by the state to do "brake-tag" (different type of
annual inspection, only inspect the lights, the honk, and the shield brush,
NO smog emmission test.) every year. If I did new brake-tag this month, I
can drive my car until next Dec in Baltimore, MD and I have to come back to
new orleans to do this inspection again (I need to double check t

发帖数: 50 | 10 My previous state do not need me to do any inspection. SO I usually get it
renewed by mail.
Well it is hard decision.
If it is only a months difference, maybe you check with your local officer.
The insurance still cover. But you still need to drive careful.
Another option for you is just sell that car in LA or MD
