上午阳光明媚 气温适宜 宜出行
琢磨着从事geocash活动数年了 今天终于得以正式开始
在网络上查到frying pan park里宝贝的经纬度
latitude : 38 56.187"N
longitude: 77 24.632"W
没看后面的提示 (看完所有的提示也需要半小时)
这是最近也是相对简单的藏宝处
Difficulty: ★★★ Terrain: ★★
装上电池 开车出门 行驶整五分钟才抵达frying pan park
一路上抽空查看GPS status 屏幕上逐渐出现各个卫星的信号
可是只到公园 停好车 GPS还没定位
又等了一两分钟 搞定
下车辨别了一下方向及经纬 西南方向是也
往barn E和school house前进 经度出现77 24.632"W
再沿另一条小路往南 晃来晃去 最后走到公园门口
la: 38 56.190"N Lo: 77 24.644"W
再往南就出公园了 过了西牛路
La:38 56.187N Lo:77 24.655"W
在附近转悠了半个小时 查 |

With a GPS in forest park is not a ultimately safe way at all.

You can buy a 50k trimble base station and setup a DGPS station yourself if
really necessary...

about the brand and price. It felt really cool since they never seemed to be
lost.
Researched a little bit and found these:

平时有空多多练习一下Doom之类的游戏，有助于提高方向辨别能力
和找路感觉（如果能找到Wolfstein 3D/Spear Of Destiny等游戏
效果将更好）

Playing 3D makes me faint :P
I am not bad in directions, just hate to print out a thick stack of mapquest
when it's time for a trip from the east to west coast or looking for a house
Maybe I should buy a complete street map of the US? how thick a book would
that be?

Solution 1, join AAA, no need to buy any map. Just stop by
their local office and ask as many as you want
Solution 2, Costco sell the huge road atlas, according to state
or several states. Very detailed map. No way to get lost
if using that one...
Solution 3, find a Doom High-Hand as your cityscape nevigator, hoho

Joined AAA already. I was all blushing when I asked the clerk to give me all
the maps I needed for a coast-to-coast trip, but couldn't name even half of
those states. Free stuff doesn't come easily ya

发帖数: 13043 | 15 it is because your GPS too simple & naive. :) many GPS can automatically find
route for you in the realtime from where you are to your target, and give you
voice direction. what you need to do is just to follow its direction. if you
are confident or something make you want to go another way than what it
suggested, just drive as you like then it will tell you a new route.
