Xumu Zhang of University Park, Penn., will be honored August 20 by the world's
largest scientific society for developing tools to tailor-make drug molecules.
He will receive the 2002 Arthur C. Cope Scholar Award from the American Chemic
al Society at its national meeting in Boston.
"Our particular research field is related to ways of making modern-day medicin
