H-1B petitions can be renewed in 3 year increments with an approved I-140.
Since yours has not yet been approved, we could only request an extension
based on time left in your H-1B status, by requesting to recapture any time
you've spent outside of the US. Once we receive your I-140 approval, your
next extension should be able to be requested with the additional full 3
