求去使馆面签。2月4号在沈阳使馆面签，被check，说大概要三周，然后就回家等，没
想到一等就等了两个多月。
中间给沈阳使馆电话，email，传真无数次，但都没有什么有用的回复，只是说your
application is still undergoing administrative processing,我们也不知道要多久
. 也给DOS打电话，但也只能告诉你同样的话，跟在网上查到的签证状态类似。这里我
有一点疑问,如果被check我的签证材料到底会不会到dc。以前在网上看到的是，如果被
check并且这么长时间，肯定是送去dc了，还有可能去fbi。但是dos的电话都是说，
your application remains in the embassy where you applied and they have the
ability to issue the visa，意思就是你的东西都在大使馆，并且一直在大使馆。
也找了学校的international center，说there is not much we could do. 也填了IVO
那个survey，还是没有结果。
现在phd第三年，这学期一开学就回来了，走了差不多整整一个学期，老板已经要疯了
。五月份project funding要renew，拿不到新的funding估计就要被老板开除了。。。
心急如焚ing。。。

In 2008--2009 many of us, me included, waiting over 3 months.
Most came back.
Make sure your materials are not lost somewhere (not very likely)

我也是被check了一个多月，什么消息都没有，虽然当时签证官说是三到四周
给DOS打电话非常困惑，和楼主的回复一样，听起来的感觉就是签证所在使馆授予签证
，和DOS，DC没啥关系的样子
给北京使馆发信，使馆则说超过30天是有可能的，case by case，他们也不能保证都在
一个月内处理，这个速度问题已经超过使馆能力范围了，所以那到底是谁在处理文件啊
？？

or they want you to fail. You need to find out which. |

发帖数: 31 | 13 Ok...this makes me feel bad again, or more desperate...technically, it's 4
months. My interview was in early Feb, but that's not the point anyway.
I contacted the international center in my university and they said " I have
attempted to contact the Department of State on your behalf, and I have
been told that they are aware of your ongoing application, and that they are
obliged to carry through the full background check procedures, no matter
how long they will take to complete. " Does that mean my application is not
lost or forgotten somewhere on the way? I just couldn't see why they would
fail me. Every Chinese student got checked in my group this year, but
everyone got their visa eventually. Of course it didn't take such a long
time for them.
I saw extreme cases on some website where someone was checked for half a
year. I try to be optimistic and start to make plan B, but things just don't
look very good right now...

and most people don't need to wait that long. |
