Hi, I have a special question on J1 visa.
One year ago i was in US as a J1 "research scholar" sponsored by Chinese
gover

tment. I just passed my doctoral defense recently and am have been panning
to do postdoc in US. But, I just found out that I am still subjet to both
the 24 months bar and 2 years home residence requirement which means I can't
apply for long term J1 or H1. My question is, If I apply for short term J1,
then can I apply for an extension when it ends? And if I go to Canada |
