I am alsot thinking about living in an american family just like i did
before, I prefer to live with a single elder lady or an old couple. Do you
know where I can post or find such AD in hampton?

Safe, nice comunity, good enviroment but not too expensive.

Coliseum Central area is not bad.
Southern York county area is very good, especially if you work at NASA.
Downtown hampton area is not that bad. Have friends living there. And they
don't
complain. Just didn't know any Chinese who lives there (maybe because I don't
know enough people).
Rent is generally high (of course depending on where you come from). Deals are
rare.
Public transportation not very convenient, either.

There is a Korean / Asian mkt in Newport News (I64, exit 255), which is pretty
good. You can buy a lot of stuff, vege and fish. There is another Asian mkt in
downtown newport news (along Jefferson Ave). Agree with you that there is no
good Chinese restautant.
