hefei? The earliest plane from shanghai to hefei is around 8pm. Does anyone
know if there is any reliable taxi/bus service going from pudong to hefei?

I thinks going to Hongqiao international airport and taking the 8pm flight
is the fastest way you can take to hefei. The flight costs you even less
than
an hr.
As for the shuttle bus, it cost you approx. 6 hrs or more to arrive hefei,
however you have to go deeply inside middle of shanghai to take it,

We've been taking the 8pm flight back in the past. This time we are going
back with a small kid, so I thought I'd ask if there are any other options.
Guess not :-(
And when would the two airports merge? Would they ever? It's just so much
trouble to transfer flights in shanghai.. *sigh*

last December when I went back China and made the trip to Hefei after 1 day
in
Shanghai, I found the airported some kind of "refurbished", with lots of
domestic airlines, esp. shorter lines with fewer passenger on board,
arranged there.
I suggest you take the magnetic suspension shuttle once arriving at Pudong--
that's really funny experience, and both time and cost efficient compared
with
taking a taxi. After reaching Long

这位panda的提议偶认为是目前最合适的
先座磁悬浮到龙阳地铁站，然后做taxi去虹桥机场
如果你到达的时段不是上下班时间，可以座地铁到人民广场，那里有去虹桥机场的专线

如果是开车的话从浦东机场开到合肥
我没开过，不过估计在6－7个小时之间
沪宁高速－合宁高速（以前南京大桥比较堵，不过现在有2桥了好像好多了）
我没开过，只不过是估摸了一下，
我倒是很想开一次，看今年50周年庆是有没有机会啦
至于安全性，抢劫的可能也极低（座品牌的taxi公司的车）
交通事故的可能性当然存在啦，不过沪宁单向4车道，很宽敞的很好开的
cost就无从谈起了
不过倒是可以到几个汽车站座长途大巴，火车站就有一个
不过这样太折腾了，你还不如看看有没有可能先在上海租辆车

就算没有直接去合肥的,
至少去南京的有,到南京汽车站,
不要出站买张票,转着去合肥就太方便了
