We DO see a lot of human, not properly protected, traveled between Wuhan's
lab and Yunan's bat cave. Some are even bitten by bats.
So your analogy is not a good one.

Where is "we" comes from? You can only represent your view, right? You
didn't see it does not mean other people didn't see it. There are plenty
of people
believe UFO and there could be huge coverup by deep state to prevent you see
the truth. Can you disprove covid-19 not from MARS? So I think that's
good theory as Newsweek's theory in my opinion since no hard evidence is
required to put out a theory if use that standard.

Let me put this way. I have zero confidence in Newsweek's piece since they
offered only theory without hard evidence to back it up. So at least to me,
my "MARS" theory is as good as theirs. It is about belief/theory, not
science here.
Again everyone is entitled to his/her opinions or beliefs.
