described as a “very productive” meeting with President-elect Donald Trump
Monday.
Trump’s transition team aides said earlier Monday that the president-elect
did not plan to meet with Gore, who went to Trump Tower in New York City to
meet with Trump’s daughter Ivanka about climate change.
But Gore told pool reporters in the Trump Tower lobby that the “bulk of the
time” he spent with the Trumps was with the president-elect.
Trump is an avowed climate change skeptic, and has repeatedly said that
global warming is a hoax. He tweeted once that the Chinese created the hoax
to make United States manufacturing non-competitive. |
