Man complains to noisy black neighbor, makes national news
By Ed Straker
The Washington Post felt it was headline news when a man living in an
apartment building complained to his neighbor about noise late at night:
"It is extremely rude and inconsiderate to scream and stomp around your
apartment until almost 2 a.m.," the letter said. "A complaint has been
submitted to the management. Next time this will go straight to the police.
Please learn your manners."
The reason this became national news? Because the man making the late-night
noise was black, and the man complaining was white. The black man, named
Richard Brookshire, cried racism. The Washington Post rushed to post his
story of post-post-post-post Jim Crow oppression.
He was livid that, with all the talk of police brutality against
minorities escalating from benign situations, someone would think calling
the cops was the best response to a loud conversation.
Actually, it's a common response. If you ask a neighbor once to quiet down
and he doesn't, calling the police is the most common next step.
But Brookshire thinks a visit from the police could be a death sentence.
"With cops you just never know, especially when it's late at night,"
Brookshire said. "Maybe they're tired. Maybe they'll catch an attitude with
me."
How could the police "catch" an attitude from Brookshire unless he "pitched"
them one? Brookshire is one of many brainwashed liberals who think the
police are just itching to shoot black men. He disregards the fact that
blacks who are shot are, 99% of the time, resisting arrest or reaching for
weapons or disobeying police orders in dangerous situations.
Brookshire wrote this response to his white neighbor:
As one of the only tenants of color occupying this building at full
market rate, I find it personally abhorrent that you'd levy the threat of
involving the authorities for an insignificant infraction such as the one
you noted in your poorly written and ill-thought-out correspondence.
As a Black man, I take these overt actions as a direct threat to my
physical and psychological well-being and as an act of violence upon me.
The neighbor who wrote the letter, David O., told The Washington Post
that the note had nothing to do with race. He asked that The Post not use
his full last name because he fears backlash.
David O. said he and his wife just wanted to sleep. They didn't know
Brookshire was black until the post went viral.
This is what we get from a culture (educational and media) that constantly
teaches black people that white people (and police) are all racists. So
whenever a dispute happens – even one like this, where there is no mention
of race – it automatically becomes racial in the minds of the brainwashed
black liberals.
Liberals complain about race relations being bad, but they are the ones
making it worse by filling black people's minds with hatred and suspicion
for their white brothers. The publication of this totally non-newsworthy "
article" is just another example of the media stoking racial hatred. The
fact that they have to look for obscure incidents like these to "find racism
" shows how little racism there truly is (except, perhaps, the kind against
whites).
