convene a conference call with top donors on Wednesday afternoon.
Bush’s national finance director, Heather Larrison, sent an email to
campaign contributors on Tuesday informing them of the planned call, which
she billed as a thank you to the contributors. Larrison did not specify what
else would be discussed on the call.
“We are forever grateful for your continued support of Jeb throughout his
race,” Larrison wrote. “It has been a pleasure to work alongside you on
this journey and we should all be very proud of our candidate and his
enormous contribution to the country during his campaign.”
Bush has kept a low profile since dropping out of the race on Saturday
evening following a disappointing performance in the South Carolina primary.
Those close to the former Florida governor expect him to eventually endorse
former rival Marco Rubio, though they say it may take a little bit of time
for Bush to make that decision.
