nominee through. No lame duck President has been allowed to fill an opening
that first came available this late in his term in 80 years. Moreover,
Senate Leader Mitch McConnell has already said he’s not doing it. However,
the Republican Senate Leadership has been so submissive to Obama that it’s
impossible to absolutely rule it out. That’s why it’s great to see Cruz
drawing a line in the sand.
George Stephanopoulos: Does that mean you will filibuster anyone, anyone
that President Obama nominates?
Ted Cruz: Absolutely. This should be a decision for the people….Let the
election decide.
It’s good to have Ted Cruz standing strong because if Mitch McConnell caves
AGAIN, he may be our last line of defense. |
