A 76-year-old woman from South Carolina wasn’t going down without a fight
when three armed robbers attempted to break into her home…

“She fought. She was a fighter. She shot him,” the victim’s brother,
Ronnie Lollis, told local NBC affiliate WYFF News Channel 4.
Dorothy Hendrix returned home at about 1 a.m. when two armed men and one
woman approached her attempting to rob her, coroner Greg Shore said. He
said Hendrix pulled out a gun and fired at the suspects, and one of them
returned fire, hitting her twice. One neighbor reported the gunshots to
police.
Hendrix, known as “Dot” to friends and family, managed to shoot one of
the intruders in the stomach before she died at the scene. The other two
suspects ran off.
This wasn’t the first time Dorothy had been attacked, either. In 2011
Hendrix was the victim of an armed robbery, but that case has yet to be
solved.
Steven Hagood, 33, who was shot during the incident, was facing an
arrest warrant in connection with murder and possession of a firearm by a
convicted felon, the sheriff’s office said.
Tereba Geer, 26, and Bradacious Galloway, 23, were also arrested.
It must be tough being a career criminal. They make following the law seem
so hard.
