provision of the troubled healthcare law until 2015.
Aside from the other delayed provisions, including the business mandate that
was delayed several weeks back, this new delay will give "one-year grace
period to adhere to the limit, which otherwise would have capped individual
costs at $6,350 a year and gone into effect in 2014. The change means some
insurers could set higher limits or set no limit at all on out-of-pocket
costs during that period. "
In other words, it limits out of pocket costs for two years.
Kentucky Senator Rand Paul has just told Fox News' Bill Hemmer that he does
not expect the current Senate effort by defund Obama care in the upcoming
budget talks to pass, but says that the hopes of actually defunding the
healthcare law rests on the shoulders of the U.S. House of Representatives.
Paul added that once the Democratic-controlled Senate squashes efforts to
defund Obama care, and the House votes in favor to defund it, then the next
step would be the negotiating process between the two chambers of Congress,
where he believes "a compromise" will be found that could further delay the
law, or event repeal several aspects of it. |
