That’s weird, I thought she was from that violent hellhole of Chicago. Who
knows, maybe she’s trying to distance herself.
Speaking at the Gaiety Theatre in Dublin, Ireland, at a performance by
of “Riverdance” by Irish youth, First Lady Michelle Obama thanked the
crowd and said, “It is good to be home.”
“My goodness! (Applause.) That’s wonderful! You did it! Oh, my
goodness. (Applause.) Thank you all so much. It is good to be home. Yes,
indeed. You all are amazing — and you’re pretty good-looking, too. (
Laughter.),” she said as she took the stage.
So nice of her to compliment them on their looks. Well, at least they’re
pretty good-looking. Guffaws all around. Meanwhile, ABC News lays it on
thick.
Visiting Trinity College in Dublin this afternoon, the first family
viewed archives documenting the president’s Irish family tree.
“The girls had a chance to… trace their Irish lineage, which was a
very powerful thing to find out that these girls that were born on the South
Side of Chicago can trace their roots back here to Ireland, way back to the
1600s,” the first lady said. “That was very powerful for me, as their
mother, and hopefully it will be something that they cherish for the rest of
their lives.”
President Obama’s great-great-great-grandfather was born in the village
of Moneygall, where some of his distant relatives still live.
The president and first lady visited the village in 2011, where the
president met his eighth cousin, Henry Healy, who has since become known as
“Henry the Eighth.”
Heck, if Obama wanted to meet some of his Irish relatives he didn’t need to
go to Ireland. On the other hand, the IRS is busy auditing them. | s********t 发帖数: 4150 | | l******a 发帖数: 3803 | 3
