The purpose of the 2nd Amendment was for the people to freely bear arms to
protect themselves and defeat the government when the government is turning
democracy into a tyranny.
I always say to people think like you do, this is America, we own guns
freely, don't like it? Fuck off.

That was because the government was just formed two hundred years ago, and
the government wasn't matured. Do you think America is like Syria? or any
countries in Africa where there are no government at all? And you are on
your own with your daily lives.
America is #1 in the world as a country now, if you don't feel safe about
the government then you have no where to go. Laws are made in the specified
place at a typical time, if it's outdated, it needs to be changed.
