standard of living in the united states. The capability to inject military
power anywhere anytime is very important.
However, defence spending can probably withstand a 10% to 20% cut without
loosing the dominance.
2. the spending by US fed gov is more or less 5 big chuncks, each about
700B.
medicare/medicaid 20%
defence 20%
Social Security 20%
Income Security 20% (including welfare, pension, benefit to Veterans and Fed
employees)
Other (education, scientific etc) 20%. Including 6% for interest on debt.
I would in fact like to see that cross the board 10% cut on all the first 4
chunks.

a good choice because he doesn't raise tax on them. But Obama is
increasing debt like crazy, and sooner or later, the middle class will have
to pay back. And what would the democrats do? They will raise tax on
middle class! There is no doubt about this!
So be smart, look a little further and vote for Mitt.
