The US Senate has just passed the debt deal by over 60 votes, putting it
roughly on the same percentage as it passed by in the House. It now goes to
President Obama for his signature.
Considering that if he vetoes it, he would pretty much have to give up his
combination birthday party and re-election fundraiser later this week, along
with how he’d have to give up the opportunity to lecture us all again
about how it’s not a great deal but necessary and how it would be so much
better if we just let him have his way, I feel fairly comfortable saying he
will sign it. |
