5/23 (Fri) Try our luck to get the next day Wave permits by lottery in the
morning at 9am, then go to Upper & Lower Antelope Canyon. Visit other places
if we still have time after Antelope Canyon.
5/24 (Sat) The Wave, approximate 6 miles, it is famous among hikers and
photographers for its colorful, undulating forms, and the rugged,
5/25 (Sun) The Narrows, from the bottom up (the easiest way), approximate 5
miles round trip to reach the Orderville Canyon, 10 miles round trip to Big
Spring, Just go as far as we can.
5/26 (Mon) The Angel's Landing, approximate 5 miles round trip and 1500ft
elevation gain - almost the same hiking level as Echo Mountain (5miles round
trip & 1800ft elevation gain)
Go back to LA in the afternoon or evening.

5/25 - 5/26 (Sun - Mon) the West Rim Trail and the Angel's Landing -
BACKPACKING
5/25 from the Lava Point all the way down to Cabin Spring, approximate 10
miles. Night stay at Campsite #1, which offers distant views of the Dixie
National Forest and northern regiouns of Zion, wonderful landscape. Campsite
#1 is located in a nice grove of ponderosa pines and also has a great view
of sunrise!
5/26 finish up the remaining approximate 5 miles of the West Rim Trail. But
at the Scout's Lookout, we'll go up for 500ft elevation to the Angel's
Landing. Then back to the Grotto Trailhead.
Go back to LA in the afternoon or evening.

nature in wildfield, or if you try to reburn your moods with some fresh air
and doing some exercises, you are welcome to join us.

查了google map, 从Wave到Zion大约90 miles, 车程约2.5小时。因为Wave只有6 miles
, 就算早上十点才开始走，慢慢走边拍照，到下午四五点大致也可以结束了。晚上八点
前能到Zion附近住宿。

Zion最著名的两条trails, 一是the Narrows, 二是the West Rim Trail & the Angele
's Landing.
Narrows我们走最简单的由河流下游向上游方向，走到Orderville Canyon往返约5
miles, 到Big Spring往返约10 miles. Big Spring往上需要申请permit了，我们最远
就此打住。因为是原路返回，所以视大家当天的心情想走多远走多远，不需要一定走到
最远。
the West Rim Trail & the Angele's Landing是从山顶走到山脚，基本上大部分时候
是下坡路，偶尔有小上坡。在大约12miles左右的地方到达Scout's Lookout, 这里往上
爬500ft就是the Angele's Landing. 爬完the Angele's Landing回到Scout's Lookout
大约2.5miles下山路到山脚trailhead.
虽然这条trail全长约15～16miles, 但因为是从山顶走到山脚，基本全程下坡路，没有
太多往上的爬升，其实不会太辛苦，请大家不要担心。
如果能够一天走完，day hike最好，晚上直接回旅馆好好休息。
不然的话第一天先走10miles, 在半山腰一个很漂亮的地方backpacking, 晚上看星空早
上看日出 ---- 那个campsite是非常适合看日出的地方，早上直接打开帐篷就能看到日

休闲游就不走15miles的West Rim Trail了，只走5miles的Angel's Landing.
深度游仍旧走West Rim Trail & Angel's Landing, 是day hike一天走完还是
backpacking视情况而定再讨论。
休闲游和深度游人数各半，都是四五人左右。
关于租车想请教一下有经验的资深旅友，请问按照我们的大概行程我们需要租四驱的车
么？要不要高低盘？那边的道路适合开Van吗？打算租七人座的mini van坐6个人这样可
行么？如有答疑非常感谢^_^ | p**e

除非bad weather

发帖数: 538 | 12 不少人询问关于费用预算问题，在这里统一答复一下。
我们的行程是5/22-5/26，大致五天四夜 & 1200 miles.
Car: 有旅友volunteer开他们自己的车，也许我们不需要租车。如果租车，费用约$60
左右一人；若坐其他旅友的车，酌情付钱，费用低于租车费用。
Gas: around $50/person for the whole trip (based on previous road trip
experiences)
Accommodation:
第一晚因为次日早上9点前要抽签the wave, 我们订了Kanab一间2星Hotel（图一图二）
, 2 queen size beds/room, 包早餐，距离抽签的visitor center走路约5分钟。
$25~50/person depending on how many people per room.
（2 people/room = $50; 4 people/room = $25; tax included）
第二晚的住宿TBD, 如果抽到the wave住在Page附近，否则住Bryce附近。Hotel/Motel
或者Farmers' Lodge（中文俗称农家乐^_^）。
费用大致也是$30~50/person.
第三和第四晚住Zion. 订了一间ranch cabin，位于Zion公园东门，让我们好好领略一
番美国西部牧场风光^_^
cabin里有桑拿房（图七），白天hiking累了晚上回来大家可以好好享受一番桑拿。
5/24周六晚上有流星雨，在我们租的牧场小屋里蒸完桑拿可以舒舒服服的把椅子或睡垫
搬到屋外，或坐或躺，在空旷辽阔的牧场夜幕下于青草芳香中看天边划过的流星群。。
。。。如此良辰美景，若有美酒佳肴，再加美女帅哥们相伴，实乃人生一大快事^_^
女生们share beds, 男生们每人有自己独立的床。
$48~$58/person/night depending on how many people we have.
Foods: 和在家里也相差不大吧，便宜有便宜的吃法，贵有贵的吃法；可以在外面吃，
也可以自己做。尚没有时间查当地特色餐馆，目前所知道的是我们在Zion住的牧场有个
餐馆Buffalo Grill所提供食物“grown in our Gardens and Greenhouses for
healthy organic meals”.
In conclusion, 出门旅游无非衣食住行吃喝玩乐，住和行这两大块合计5天4夜约$250~
$350, 衣物自带，吃饭随意。 | d**********l

一、关于第一晚在Kanab的住宿，我们加了AARP discounts. 现在是$90/room (2 queen
beds including tax & breakfast). 有人说2人一间不划算，4人一间不舒服，我们还
有另一个方案：打电话去问过了，加$10/night可以加床（rollaway bed）。这样一个
房间可以住3人，2人各自住queen bed, 1人住rollaway bed. 费用方面比如queen bed
$37.5 & rollaway bed $25.
二、有三位旅友自愿开他们的车，我们会分成三辆车出发。应该是就不租车了，费用比
租车便宜，也省去租车的麻烦。
三、关于Wave抽签问题，每天虽然只有10个名额，但我们周五将会抽周六/周日/周一3
天的permits, 即是30个名额。此外我们这次去的人多，我们有一套很好的算法可以增
加抽中的机率。
就算抽不中，去其他地方也会同样很好玩。
总之，请大家不要担心。世上没有真正很难的事情，任何事情都会有一个或多个解决方
法。
你只需要收拾行囊，带上轻松的心情，准备开始一段愉快的旅行，好好enjoy假期^_^ | d**********l
