a******a 发帖数: 283 | 1 hi! i have a question related to visa to europe, if anyone can help to
answer some, would be really grateful about it. thanks.
i will be visiting switzerland in september for about 2-3 weeks, then go to
germany. after a month might go to austria and france to visit friends. in
december will head back to america.
my own situation: i have green card. will be unemployed.
my understanding through reading old articles here:
1. i should purchase air ticket first (90-day or within 90 days of range,
from leaving USA to coming back)
2, purchase international health insurance (any suggestion)?
3, it is quite confusing whether switzerland would require a visa for US GC
holder, anybody has the newest info? i would call them if not hearing any
feedback on this and let you know.
4, as for reason to visit, if i go with touristic reason, would 90-day be ok
(schengen visa); if not, should i ask friends to invite me for the visit?
thanks for your time. | p*****t 发帖数: 3693 | 2 Switzerland is now part of the Schengen agreement, so you would need a
Schengen visa to enter. | C**********d 发帖数: 545 | 3 你不是US citizen,总归要申请schengen visa的,而要申请visa就要insurance。90天
应该可以,最短60天,我见过180天的。 |
