希望能找到喜欢自然风光的朋友一起去游览美国的国家公园。具体哪些公园可以之后一
起商定。本人之前有过几次国家公园自助游的经验，对它们的印象非常好（风景和保护
)，所以决定今后尽可能去更多的国家公园。

Here's my initial plan:
1. Island hopping:
1.1 NP of American Samoa
1.2 US Virgin Islands NP, St. John (fly + ferry, not cruise tour)
1.3 Hawiian Islands (Hawai'i Volcanoes NP + Haleakala NP )
2. Mountain:
2.1 Glacier
2.2 Yellowstone/Grand Teton
3. NPs in Alaska [summer 2011], maybe: Crater Lake; some in Washington;
Voyageurs + Isle Royale;
4. The rest NPs are okay compared to above 3 sections, especially these NPs
are Overrated: Petrified Forest, Grand Canyon, Yosemite, Death Valley, Bryce
Canyon...
I'm going to visit these NPs whithin a year or two. Check out my updated
activities. :)
BTW, National Park doesn't necessarily mean camping or hiking. we can stay
in a 5 star posh resort in a garden island clothed in tropical rainforest. :) | b*********z

If you’re put off by the idea of visiting a national park just because they
’re famous, think again. Admittedly, The Great Smoky Mountains received 9.3
million visitors in 2008, while the Grand Canyon welcomed 4.4 million
people and Yellowstone had 3.1 million vacationers. But there are overlooked
national parks full of dramatic natural wonders that receive a fraction of
those visitors. Most of these amazing parks are in very remote places, and
getting to them ain’t necessarily easy. The Los Angeles Times has put
together a great photo gallery of America’s top 20 least visited (and
crowded) parks. The list should give us all a bit of inspiration next time
we’re looking to get out but don’t want to deal with hoards of wilderness
unsawy tourists. Especially considering that the top park on the list, Kobuk
Valley National Park, only had leass than 2000 visitors per year. That
pretty much ensures a solitary getaway.
Here are the top 5 (I wanna visit within 2 years):
1. Kobuk Valley National Park, Alaska
2. National Park of American Samoa, American Samoa
3. Lake Clark National Park and Preserve, Alaska
4. Katmai National Park and Reserve, Alaska
5. Gates of the Arctic National Park and Preserve, Alaska
It’s probably not all too shocking that 4 of the top 5 are all in Alaska (
49th State). :)
P.S. In order to get to American Samoa, you have to fly from Hawaii (50th
state). Another legit excuse to visit Hawaii again. :) | s******o

a chartered air taxi alone is >$700 from Anchorage to Katmai
hope u have saved enough $$$ if u plan to visit all these parks...

he can hook me up with some local ppl there.
