go India/Nepal for a buddhist event so I used 80,000 United Miles for a
ticket from Chicago to Delhi, India.
Her flight depart May 27 and return June 21.
Now she just broken both her legs in Nepal, now is in Nepal, and she couldn'
t make the flight back on June 21, 2009.
I called United, they told me they will charge me $150 to change the ticket,
but the changed the ticket could only be from Munich, Germany or Flankfurt

发帖数: 9352 | 15 再跟UA联系，最好能拿到你太太现在医生的诊断证明，然后CALL UA，找SUPERVISOR看能
不能作为例外，重新定TK的回程，这是违反UA里程票规定的，但SUPERVISOR可以REWRIT
E。
如果可能的话，不知道你太太在印度有没有朋友，可以在新德里UA帮她处理一下，有时
候出发地的AGENT权力更大。
至少看看能不能改成亚洲出发的UA航班，这个SUPERVISOR绝对有这个权力，只要他肯帮
你。从尼泊尔到中国香港、上海或北京，甚至新加坡，都不会太贵。当然这个时候的里
程舱位可能很难定到，也得有赖于UA AGENT是否肯帮你。
最重要一点，人只要平安，能花钱解决的问题，都不是大问题。

其实，他们一开始帮楼主改日期和fra出发，应该已经是通融了的。按照以前的规定，
用用到partner的行程，一旦出发了就不可以改了，无论剩下的行程是不是只有ua。但
是我用特殊情况让supervisor改过，加100（现在150）。
楼主要清楚自己的option是什么，可以要求什么。不要ua找到一个fra出发的option给
你，你就不去看其他option了，拼命找del-fra的票。也许del-fra的票比直接从尼泊尔
回ord还贵呢。
另外，同一件事情不要另外起帖子，显得比较没有头绪。

Turkish Airline is $421. So total $571. If someone want to use AA miles
and book a oneway ticket from Delhi -> Chicago (or Milwaukee), I will pay
for that because AA has direct flight from Delhi->Chicago, which is much
better for my wife's leg.
Also, tonight I will keep calling UA to see whether I could reach a
supervisor to overwrite the rules... I already called UA 3 times since last
night 11pm.

since ticket is operated by a partner airline, you can not change the return
once flew outbound. However, since ur wife broke her legs, UA will do a
exception for you with $150 fees, but return has to be UA flight.
UA has flight from Dubai to ORD via IAD, and Air india has direct flight
from DEL to Dubai for $179 on expedia.com, ask agent to change ur return
from DXB.
If you want to save trouble for ur wife with one less connection, you can
buy a oneway ticket from DEL t |

award ticket. Free of charge both times with NW. If you read the fare
rules on NW's ticket, it always say that change fees may be waived with
medical certificate.
travel insurance covers other stuff such as delays >5 hours, etc...

Today, my wife's flight already departed. I called UA Milage again. This
time a Chinese lady received my call, and she put me on hold, and talk to
the UA headquarter in Chicago, and came back to me saying UA will charge me
$150 to change ticket to the SAME TURKISH FLIGHTS but different date ---
September 3, 2009! There is no ticket available for UA milages used in rest
of June, July or August.
I am so glad so I immidiately booked the ticket and paid the $
