就是一般受过本科教育，有点文化的人，可以随便说几句的？
中国三岁小孩就能说上两句李白杜甫苏东坡的诗词。在社会各个领域，食品，建筑，地
名，等，稍微有点文化的人都能引出一个典故，一个诗句，一个成语。在美国英国，一
般老百姓平时对话的时候，是不是也能时不时说出一些莎士比亚的某个sonnet某句, 什
么英雄双行体，一般美国人英国人平时引用吗？除了那句“to be or not to be",还有
什么脍炙人口家喻户晓的名句？

英语诗人太多了，但是大多不是美国的，你要往英国找。
美国比较出名的，就是庞德。这老兄是李白的脑残粉，照着唐诗的写意格调写了不少现
代诗，比如：

这里面我最熟的大概是o captain, my captain, 因为看过电影dead poets society（
春风化雨），里面的浪漫主义老师就叫captain，教学生的第一首诗就是这个，很感人

是浪漫派诗人，byron, keats, coleridge, shelley, whitman这些都是浪漫派代表人
物。kubla khan是coleridge晚上做梦梦见成吉思汗（就是kubla khan）、醒来一挥而
就。keats的希腊古瓮颂也很出名。microsystem还有小帕都写过拜伦和济慈（keats）。
建议一下要不要征文活动改成英语诗歌学习活动？哈哈。可以挑英语诗或者诗人来写，
这个会不会比原来的写翻译更方便些？翻译没人写。
对了你有空看看那个电影dead poets society，就会对o captain my captain这首诗无比熟悉，哈哈，很好看的电影，浪漫和现实如何相处。你多半会掉眼泪的，哈哈。

读者，所以知道的少。中国读者其实知道很多翻译的诗句，雪莱的冬天来了春天还会远
吗；普希金的假如生活欺骗了你，不要悲伤，不要哭泣；william blake的一沙一世界
，一花一天堂；泰戈尔的生如夏花之绚丽，死如秋叶之静美；世界上最远的距离，是飞
鸟与鱼的距离；天空虽不曾留下痕迹，但我已经飞过（这句被余纯顺引用后更出名）…
…但知道原文的很少。

发帖数: 276 | 19 感觉英、美、澳大利亚绝大多数人平时很少引用名诗，不像中国人顺口就来。以前在英
国遇到个老学者会时不时冒出一句名诗，但只能算是个例吧。或许是因为中国古诗里面
可以引用的太多了；不太清楚，不敢乱说了，呵呵。

发帖数: 141625 | 24 我也接触得少。我在国内打工翻译的时候碰到一个澳大利亚律师，莎士比亚随手拈来，
说是中小学课本里背的。所以猜想他们跟我们一样英文课上背过不少诗词？还常看见电
影里的中学生排练莎士比亚戏剧，未必懂，但也是从小背诵。不过这里的小孩小时候背
诵的的确都是儿歌童谣，还没听到什么诗歌名句。回头向那些年龄大的孩子的父母打听
一下，他们大概知道高年级学生读多少诗歌。

名，等，稍微有点文化的人都能引出一个典故，一个诗句，一个成语。在美国英国，一
般老百姓平时对话的时候，是不是也能时不时说出一些莎士比亚的某个sonnet某句, 什
么英雄双行体，一般美国人英国人平时引用吗？除了那句“to be or not to be",还有
什么脍炙人口家喻户晓的名句？

英语诗人太多了，但是大多不是美国的，你要往英国找。
美国比较出名的，就是庞德。这老兄是李白的脑残粉，照着唐诗的写意格调写了不少现
代诗，比如：

是浪漫派诗人，byron, keats, coleridge, shelley, whitman这些都是浪漫派代表人
物。kubla khan是coleridge晚上做梦梦见成吉思汗（就是kubla khan）、醒来一挥而
就。keats的希腊古瓮颂也很出名。microsystem还有小帕都写过拜伦和济慈（keats）。
建议一下要不要征文活动改成英语诗歌学习活动？哈哈。可以挑英语诗或者诗人来写，
这个会不会比原来的写翻译更方便些？翻译没人写。

读者，所以知道的少。中国读者其实知道很多翻译的诗句，雪莱的冬天来了春天还会远
吗；普希金的假如生活欺骗了你，不要悲伤，不要哭泣；william blake的一沙一世界
，一花一天堂；泰戈尔的生如夏花之绚丽，死如秋叶之静美；世界上最远的距离，是飞
鸟与鱼的距离；天空虽不曾留下痕迹，但我已经飞过（这句被余纯顺引用后更出名）…
…但知道原文的很少。

发帖数: 141625 | 50 我也接触得少。我在国内打工翻译的时候碰到一个澳大利亚律师，莎士比亚随手拈来，
说是中小学课本里背的。所以猜想他们跟我们一样英文课上背过不少诗词？还常看见电
影里的中学生排练莎士比亚戏剧，未必懂，但也是从小背诵。不过这里的小孩小时候背
诵的的确都是儿歌童谣，还没听到什么诗歌名句。回头向那些年龄大的孩子的父母打听
一下，他们大概知道高年级学生读多少诗歌。

说我把金线银线织成华美衣服铺在你脚下，你踩的时候请小心，因为你踩在我的心上。

莎士比亚的诗歌感觉老外一般也不懂的。除了几个名句外。
要说理工科老外也知道一些的，有blake，湖畔诗人等。
比如《虎》就是公认英语诗歌的压卷之作，类似《秦时明月汉时关》是公认的唐诗压卷。
还有英格兰的国歌《耶路撒冷》都很脍炙人口。
美国的：

立马觉得这是一首好诗。搜索一下，原来是泰戈尔的诗句。找来原文
The furthest distance in the world,
is not the distance between two trees,
but the root growth of the branches,
can’t enjoy the co-existance.
对比一下，发现还是翻译出来的中文版比原文的意境更好，也更朗朗上口。 | k********k
