发帖数: 128 | 1 When I was a student I majored in science, however I have a strong passion
on beautiful English. Over the years the book that I have read most is Henry
James' "The portrait of a lady". Every time I read it I am totally amazed
and mesmerized by the author's beautiful English. I wonder if someone could
recommend another novel whose English is better, or as good as that in "The
Portrait". Your help would be greatly appreciated.
By the way, I read Henry James' other works, but I don't think any other
work of his is remotely comparable to "the portrait". |
