China > no working experience
MS degree > PhD degree in most cases, however, for some field of structural
analysis PHD is better than MS..

your live or work in. BTW, when your hunt a job to another state, for example
CA, it may also require your EIT score even you have a PE. Heard from a old
guy in Civil.

if you want to get a PE license
1. Your B.S degree should be evaluated by ECEI
2. You have to pass EIT test
3. You have mininum required working experience in US which depends on your
states
4. Your master or doctoral degree may cut off 1 or 2 years experiences for you
which also depends on where you are going to get your license
5. As I know, you at least have to have 2 years experience in States

1. you can take EIT test wherever you want
2. If you received your BS degree from an institution outside the US, you
should have that degree evaluated by an evaluation service.
You can call ECEI at 410-347-7738 or their website is www.ecei.org
If you have a graduate degree from the US that is from an ABET approved
curriculum, at least on the undergraduate level, you would only have to have
your BS degree verified and not evaluated.
3. Your transcript would go to the eval |
