10 high tech town in US. It has one of the only two NCSA centers
here. Plus, a new computer science building is being built. A
new technology center is being designed to be built in south
campus and hundreds of companies are moving in...UIUC's engineering
ranking is top3 overall. It's computer science moves to No.5
with Cornell from No.6 last year. And EE is No.2. | H**p

If your claim is the case years ago, now UIUC is only no.6
in engineering.

发帖数: 133 | 3 Even a UIUC student critisizes his/her own school as a shitty place.
I have nothing more to say. Without DSL seems like the main reason
to make the school a "bull crap"? Computer science is losing faculties
and at the same time gaining faculties. that's pretty normal in this
country. The reason to build the new CS building is becaus they have
more funding now, including the kind donation from Siebel, the rich
Alumni, who happens to choose donating to the school who gave him

MIT and Harvard. This year, it may raise to #2,next year may drop
to #5. But you can't conclude from this that UIUC's ranking is
dropping forever. If you looked at the ranking in previous years,
UIUC's ranking maybe even lower than now. You have to look at it
dynamically.
and I truely doubt the frankness you mentioned here :-) that doesn't
look like "frankness" to me at all.
