发帖数: 528 | 6 Pretty much what Lao Da said those three card rooms are the popular ones for
a good poker room experience. But 6/4 will already be WSOP time - so if
you want to you can also go to the Rio and experience the craziness that is
WSOP@Rio.
If budget is an issue, staying at one of the hotels with easy access to a
free tram/monorail that takes you to Aria/Bellagio is a good option (Monte
Carlo, MGM/Tropicana/Excalibur/Luxur/etc). Or Bally's etc.
Buffet these days is quite a ripoff at Vegas it's not like the 90s where it
was used to attract traffic. These days it's a tourist trap. At least
avoid the 'gourmet' buffets, unless that's the type of stuff you're into.
Rio Seafood or Rio Traditional, or Paris Buffet, are some of the better
values for mainstream casino buffets. | p****r

poker room in the town now. nice table, setup and lot of action.
I am not a big fan of Venetion, maybe I just do not like the 10
handed table. their 5-10NL(no cap) and up is 9 handed though. Their
parking sucks too

发帖数: 528 | 8 But Venetian has the nice cup holders and comfy chairs, at least compared to
Bellagio - at Bellagio I have to ask for diet coke in a paper cup so I don'
t risk spilling when I get clumsy or someone pounds the table :)
Bellagio does have the very nice north valet that puts you right next to
poker room, that's a nice advantage.
I'm thinking about coming to Vegas on 6/5 as well. I have a few events this
year I want to play marked on calendar but it'll just depend on work
schedule whether I make it out there. | H****r

我的计划就是感受一下气氛，和CT/NJ/PA/WV的casino比比，感角感角。
比如三个短小精悍的sessions.

发帖数: 528 | 11 What kind of cuisine are you looking for? For the most part, Asian food is
decent at best in Las Vegas. The China Town has some ok homestyle places
but if you are from anywhere with a decent Chinese population you won't be
too impressed.
If you are interested in Bakerys/Italian/French/Steakhouses, we can point
you to some of the places we've had better experiences with. | D*****A

发帖数: 528 | 13 NYC is one of the culinary capitals of the east coast, of USA, of the whole
world!
Many of the places we recommend here has its origin/flagship in NYC.
In general, the Wynn and the Venetian has pretty good places to eat. You
can almost wander into any random Wynn restaurant and feel pretty satisfied.
Here are some specific dinner restaurant recommendations for what you're
looking for (top tier).
Italian:
The very best we've had outside of Italy is in Las Vegas. Il Mulino -3rd
floor Caesars Palace Forum Shops Extension (the circular area). This is a
NYC restaurant too, but each location (I've only been to the NYC, Orlando,
and Las Vegas ones) has its own signature dish. At Vegas, it is Mushroom
Ravioli with Champagne Sauce. It's the best Mushroom Ravioli ever. The
entire experience with bread selection and chilled vodka at the end is good.
You definitely need to make reservations for this place, even if it looks
relatively empty because they only take 1 seating per night, at most 2 if
you get a table right when it opens. Roughly $100-150 per person before
wine, less if you don't get appetizers, more if you get the Market Price
stuff.
This-Wynn-Place:
Forgot the name, but it's the most casual of the Wynn restaurants. It's
Italian and it's pretty good. Price is reasonable too, just about $40-50
per person. It's a colorful place.
French:
Lots of French choices at Vegas. I like Alex (that's the name of the
restaurant) at Wynn. The food is very good, and all female customers will
get a small package of chocolates as you leave - great touch for your LD.
If you get the price fix menu I think it's $200 per head, less if you just
order a la carte.
If you rather spend less but still get pretty decent French Food, Andre's at
Monte Carlo is pretty decent too. It's an old school place, I haven't been
back there in 4-5 years though.
Another French restaurant to note is Bouchon (Thomas Keller, also flagship
in NYC). It's great for Breakfast (I still think it's the best Bakery in
Vegas), good for Brunch, pretty decent for lunch, but not so good for dinner
... so plan accordingly. It's in the Venetian and more reasonable priced
than the Wynn places (Breakfast is normal price, Lunch is probably 30-40 per
person, etc).
I've tried every single Italian place at Venetian... didn't think they were
that awesome... anyway that should get you started. I'll post more places
as more Italian/French places come to mind. | T********n

Paris the Casino is not all that. Mon Ami is ok, but nothing to write home

been inside Empire State Building yet.
