from a good reg.
It was a 2-5 NL no cap game. Lots of time the stack can go crazily deep.
This hand involved two good regs that I was both quite familiar with.
Reg 1 is from NJ, he used to play at AC a lot. Quite solid player.
Back then ,he already started to play Bellagio 10-20 NL. We used to talk
some poker stragety together. He had 10k at the table. Reg 1 had a bad day
so far and lost a few hundred bucks before this hand.
Reg 2 is a local cash game pro. Back then he played a lot of 10-20Nl
online. Also very solid player. He usually had 3k-5k at table, That day he
had around 5k.
A short stack(around 500$) raised preflop, both reg1 and reg2 called. Flop
came AKQ, two hearts. Short stack raiser bet , reg 1 raised, then reg 2
reraised, short stack all in, reg 1 thought about it quite a while and just
called. Turn was a small heart, reg 1 checked, reg 2 bet about half the pot,
reg 1 thought a while and folded. Turning over JT (no heart ).
Reg 2 turned over JhTh to show the allin player, flopped nuts with flush
free roll.
I was very impressed with the smooth call with nuts on the flop from reg
1, especially he was losing that day. With 1000+ BB effective stack, he
avoided a disasterous situation. He knew that when reg 2 3 bet on the flop,
there is a chance that he was against the free roll. | H****r

flop with the nuts.
