Forget all BS from FTP announcement. They simply do not have money to pay
us now. The good news is that this could be a big step toward FTP cashout.
They need 100-150M to cash out U.S players, 60m could make differenence.
The bad news is that they do not plan to cash out after this and we still do
not know when.

这也许是个好消息， 现在谣言满天飞， 不知道该相信随。 guess we can
only focus on things we can control at this point.
The only way FTP can shut Phil Ivey out and back to business is to
pay U.S players ASAP. Otherwise, they will get more trouble and start a
path to go broke.

发帖数: 7793 | 4 can't believe you are still on the PI wagon seriously. the only way FTP can shut PI out is to pay him the money and let him determinate his contract. it has nothing to do with paying US player money back.. ~~~ read the actual lawsuit. Did it mention about returning money to us player at all?

发帖数: 9164 | 5 I do not think PI can continue his 150M lawsuit after U.S players got
paid by FTP. Read some post on 2p2 by some lawyers, his lawsuit to FTP is
veyr vogue and unclear.
After getting more info and reading , I do believe Ivey did this
mainly for his own interest. He is a great poker player and a nice person in
general, but he is kind of addictive gambler as well. I saw myself he shoot
craps at Red Rock, with all pink/yellow chips on the table. Sb told me he
played 4-5 days a week at Redrock.His house is in Summerlin close to
Redrock. My friend saw him drink some wine with friends worth more 10K a
bottle at Bellagio, all comped by Bellagio. We all know that these comp are
only a small portion of his gambling loss. There are post about 2 years ago
on 2p2 that he tip a cocktail waitress 1k$ bellagio chip at Saphire( a major
strip club @ Vegas). Who knows how much he would tip the dancer. Guess
the overwhelming stress in poker is one of the cause of his gambling
addiction.
I would not be suprised that he somewhat go broke someday
although he made millions from poker and millions more from share of FTP.
Remember Stu Unger, who had over 30m lifetime poker winning, but had only
700$ with him when he passed away at a Las vegas motel from heart problem
caused by using illegal drugs.
