impacted by the black friday. in my opinion, this is very stupid. Bragging
about minorities winning big on internet or blow up the % of player winning
online is not going to make on-line poker legal. It might even turn some
losing players off. It is also catching a lot of attention from IRS. Very
dumb move unless you only want IRS to audit every single players.
The focus should be the freedom to play a skilled game that a lot of
American people love and the freedom to choose a hobby for a regular American citizen, definitely not on whoever was winning but could not do it anymore. Seriously, what are these people thinking? |

they should just demonstrate that 8m-10m americans, which is a huge number,
are playing online for real money. winning or losing doesn't matter, it's a
strong consumer/voter base.
AND, it's best to regulate this indurstry ASAP (tax, law, gov control, etc.)
instead of simply shutting the door, they can't anyway, ppl will find new
ways or even worse ways to gamble if they want.
with so many states legalizing casinos now, it's really not a bad time to
put this on the table seriously.
PPA sucks for this job so far.

PPA is not focusing on representing the millions of ppl. They know full well
that MOST of poker players are LOSING players, yet they act like they are
representing the WINNING ones. They think all players are pros, which is 100
% false. What we players really want is to be able to PLAY NO MATTER winning

just like ppl can claim themselves as an ebay pro/doctor, IT pro, accounting
pro, carpenter pro, ... as long as you can feed yourself.
