d be a little cautious here with 88 boat, which is only 5th nut here.
his mini-raise and call on the flop is very suspicious, leading out smallish
$37 on turn is definitely for value.
but the pot is too big already for your remaining stack, nobody can check/
bet fold a top boat here, with a few beatable hands in his possible calling
range.
but i have a feeling he indeed got a str8 flush, and goes pays off.

worrying of set will redraw to boat and very possible flush draw, and his
call on flop 4 bet is very strong, i would say str8 flush most likely
of course, we assume villian is good, if he is a donk like me, then anything
could happen, maybe 23o?

's not but can I avoid it? The only possibility is I get big bet on turn,
any moderate bet on turn will still keep me in.

发帖数: 15860 | 9 well, i guess the flop raise is sort of problematic, the size doesn't carry
much meaning (want a fold or call?) here. to get a fold, kind of low, to get
a call, pot will be too big to control out of position.
set is a strong hand, but here the flop is super wet, either he flops a nut
flush draw, made flush, made str8, ... it'll be a very tough decision for
you on the turn, where you only get about 14% chance to pair the board, the
other 86% time? too much to even think about it.
playing chicken may lose some value sometimes, but could save some in other
times too, double-edge sword. for this hand, he might actually put you on Ah
, so i don't think he'd be "easy" on you anyway on river, sigh.

fold on turn with $37? The pot is around $250 at that time. the tiny bet on
turn is so suspicious but I just could not resist the odds I have. Really
hard for me unless he shows me the SF.

not tight, you may face lots of squeeze from SB/BB. -EV unless you know you
can see the flop without paying extra. my 2 cents

were seriously behind at the moment yourself...
button min-raise on the flop indicated a made hand OR at least an Ah drawing for flush. I liked your big raise on the flop but betting out big say 50 might work better, as you can't slow play on this flop. Since he called your 4 bet check-raise, to me it meant that he was not on a draw (in most cases unless you have a good read and he is total fish), but had flopped a monster already. His turn bet was too fishy and was begging for a call. From the button's perspective, he really wanted you to call with that mini 37 turn bet. if you had an Ah, and you put your opponent on a 9h, 5h (drawing for a str8 flush), a set or even two pair, what would your turn bet be? 37? guess not... and it actually effectively denied your odds, in which you were almost a 9 to 1 underdog to get the board paired, even if he had only one heart... |
