do they count those times that he didn't cash at all? in those cases, minus
his buy-in from his total winnings?
it's not easy to track for all tournaments, especially live ones, they're
organized by diff. sponsors, like WSOP by harrahs, WPT, EPT, APPT, ... for
big ones like WSOP, it might be fine to gather all participants' data, but
for other smaller events, like Borgata Winter Open or Nevada State

career profits. I dont think they took out the buyins. and for the big
winners of any major tournment, I think they always get invited to other
tournments for free. at least that is what I heard.
casinoes have to report all $4000 + winning? I think all those are pobulic
info. they can simply record everything automatically.

发帖数: 7793 | 4 you can't deduct the tax. When you talk about someone's yearly or overall
earning, you never discount the tax, no matter it is movie star or sports
player. I don't think they discount the buy-in either like how we rank our
weekly games, but they should not be that significant.

before this year's WSOP, a group of 18 top players were put in a pool to see
who could finish most cash finishes or bracelets. on avg., they each played
4 events, yet only ivey got a bracelet and few cashed!
pros play these types of tournaments all around the year (ivey was even
playing 3 events at the SAME time this year, running between tables/rooms),
20 is like nothing, including travel costs, this could cost a lot. if you
have a drought for a year

for our ranking. But i think it is just easier to only record the winnings
over long period of time. | c*****a

small potatoes who just play mim buy in games can get all sort of perks.
free room. free plane tickets, gift cards, and free bus tickets and free
meals. How would those casinoes treat those famous players who gamble big.
they send private jets to pick up milllioniar.
those people get tons of side deals. I dont think they pay much for
anything at casinoes.

I think the buyin is big deal. If you do not get sponsorship, one year's
buyin could be easily exceed 500k.
Even for me to play small buyin online, the buyin is just huge. I can easily
spend 500 bucks on one day for MTT only. If I get nothing, I just lose that
500 bucks in one day.
Online games, ppl said it is possible to lose 500 buyin in a big losing
session, suppose your average buyin is 100$, it is 50K downswing.
